  • Colour

Very attractive crimson black colour. Dense

  • Aroma

Very lifted and perfumed, spicy, almost nutty fruit/ oak complexity. A touch of that peaty character which is so typical of the old vines in Block 9.

  • Palate

Soft, rich, flavoursome palate with lovely spice and pepper complexity lingering. Not sweet, more savoury and elegant in style. A great follow on from the 2010 Reserve Shiraz.

  • James Halliday Review

2015 vintage: 94 pts 50yo vines. 24 months in (25% new) French oak. It's a plum-shot, curranty shiraz running on rails of satin. Make hay, the sun's been shining and the grapes taste of pure blue sky. It's both vibrant and deep, smells of more than just fruit, has taken oak in its stride and feels fussed over in the best of ways.
