Vintage
A complex and elegant wine with a savoury array of dark red and blackberries.
The majority of the grapes are from an old vine vineyard located in the Blewit Springs sub region of McLaren Vale, at an elevation of 200m.
The deep sand soils contribute to the low yields and the intensity of the wine, giving it the unique Blewitt Springs character

  • Colour

Vibrant deep red colour with purple hues

  • Aroma

The lifted aroma displays juicy black cherry, plum, and blueberry fruits, with a hint of violets and sweet cinnamon.

  • Palate

The long supple and luscious palate is full of plump black fruits with delicious ripe chewy tannins, leading into a silky smooth finish with hints dark chocolate and toasty oak.

Hand picked. 7 days on skins. 24 months of maturation in 1st-and 2nd-use French oak. Regional enough, be it the stamp of place or the traditional approach to making wine in these parts, I am unsure. Dark plum, Asian herb, baking spice, anise and spiky acidity. Rich, round and slickly made.
