Blewitt Springs Production200 cases ColourA very attractive crimson red. ViticultureThe fruit for this wine comes from our vineyard in Blewitt Springs which is part of an ancient geology of sandy soils with an underlying clay and ironstone base. The elevation and the cooling gully breezes at night extends the ripening period and enables the vines to create naturally balanced fruit with intense flavour. NoseThis wine exhibits the distinct Grenache aromas; concentrated rose petals, ripe red berries and hints of confectionery. The nose is complex with signs of barrel maturation without any obvious oak. PalateThere are ripe strawberry and raspberry flavours with the warmth of the dry grown Grenache showing long and fine tannins with a lingering finish. There is a savoury dry character that is not aggressive in any way with hints of spice. The wine lingers and has cleansing acidity. This wine reflects the terroir of the area and the characteristics of the Grenache variety.
