McLaren Vale Grenache, especially that from Blewitt Springs in particular is gaining enormous popularity with drinkers of wine looking for a lighter style
of red.
This one caught the attention of the wine Judges at the recent Small Winemakers Show taking out the top gold medal.
Only 200 cases were made from our old, dry-grown, hand-pruned and hand-picked Blewitt Springs Grenache vines. They grow on a sloping hill of sand with clay beneath and an ironstone base. This and the slightly cooler climate of the elevated Blewitt Springs makes for a truly ideal place to grow Grenache.
